I am filled with great excitement as we welcome you to “The Tanzanian Woman of Achievement Awards 2009“.

Tanzanian women have long been at the forefront of achieving political, economical and social equality in our country. They have worked passionately over many years for the upliftment and increased prosperity of their families and communities. In recognition and celebration of this Frontline Management decided to introduce the Woman of Achievement Awards for Tanzania.

These prestigious awards seek to recognize women, currently working in the geographical boundaries of Tanzania, paying tribute to the most exceptional and achieving women in the country who have not only achieved success in their own respective fields but who have made a tangible difference in communities and society as a whole.

“UKIMUWEZESHA MWANAMKE, UMEIWEZESHA JAMII’’

Without support from all of you our first Women of Achievement Awards ceremony will not be a success. We therefore urge and encourage you to help us make these awards the most special yet by nominating yourselves, your colleagues, your friends and family or just by letting us know about the talented Tanzanian women who are making our country an even more special place. We need more heroes and role models in Tanzania as without them, we are all plain people, and don’t know how far we can go!

By highlighting individual successes the awards both celebrate the incredible achievement of women and provide crucial role models to encourage more women to follow in their footsteps.

We thank you for being a part of this exciting new journey.

Yours Sincerely,

KIWIA, Irene E.
